I'm writing to you from the lake house.
It's that dreamy (for me + maybe you, too) September day when the sunshine is out, there's a cool breeze in the air, and the lake looks an inviting blue.
As I walked along the beach and Austin rode his bike, I was surprised to see the Metropark employees packing away the beach for the season.
The concession stand was closed.
The swim buoys were out of the water and getting power washed.
The canoes and stand-up paddle boards were stacked away and the parking attendant shed was getting boarded up.
I'm reminded how time passes and nothing stays the same.
This summer season - our second here in Fairport - is over.
The death of anything, like a season or a person, is here to remind us to get busy living; to reevaluate what's working and what isn't and pivot accordingly.
The seasons of nature naturally invite change, reflection.
This lake house is so good for my soul and I love being on the beach in the summer so part of me doesn't want it to end. I'm nostalgic for what I know and what feels comfortable.
Another part of me welcomes the change because cozying up on the couch, wearing tights and watching the Aggies is another kind of fun.
Noticing my brief moments of disorientation this morning was lovely because I felt alive. It was a sign that I'm paying attention and not that anything is wrong . If you know me you know that's growth!
So much of the work my clients are doing in a session is about reorienting to reality. It's so easy to deny a problem, wish life was different, and fight with what is.
I've noticed that the clients who are the most content, and successful, are the ones who accept life on life's terms.
Do you ever wish your life was different? Do you wish you had a different boss, or that your business was bringing in more money and clients? Do you wish you could be more of a go-with-the-flow person rather than feeling so uptight and burdened by your own life?
I totally get it, because you want to feel successful and competent in all areas of your life. You don't want to have to hide parts of yourself or overcompensate for the parts that you feel ashamed about.
Here's the good news! I have supported SO MANY SUCCESSFUL + AMAZING WOMEN to stop wondering if they're enough and actually feel like THEY'RE ENOUGH so they can hold their head up high, own their ideas and failures with confidence at home and in the board room, AND feel good while doing it.
You're enough and if there's any part of you that doubts yourself, consider booking a session with me where I'll show you what mindset and strategic change you can make to take your success to a whole new level.
This is a value-packed session because I'm an expert at getting to the heart of your struggle quickly and getting crystal clear about your desired outcomes. Plus, it's totally free!
I have a couple of 1:1 spots open for the fall, and they're filling up fast, so if you've been thinking about coaching, I'd recommend scheduling soon. No pressure, just facts.
You're already competent and WHOLE. My job is to help you remember that truth.
I love you, and happy September,
Sarah x
